"No Coal, No Electricity!" Source: Kentucky Coal Association Chances are the computer you're using right now is powered by coal-generated electricity. In fact, the average American uses about 20 pounds of coal every day, all in the form of reliable electricity. Source: Coalition for Affordable and Reliable Electricity
NRP Leases Reserves in Exchange for Royalty Payments We lease coal and aggregate reserves to experienced producers under long-term leases that grant them the right to mine our reserves in exchange for royalty payments. We have over 65 lessees operating on our coal reserves across the United States. In addition, one of the largest sand and gravel mines in the country, Pioneer Aggregates (operated by Glacier Northwest), is located on our aggregate reserves in Dupont, Washington near Puget Sound. Our lessees through the production of coal and aggregates are helping our nation light our homes and build our nation's infrastructure. NRP is a Yield Oriented Investment with Growth Opportunities We plan to make quarterly distributions to common unit holders based on our ability to generate income from operations. We also plan to actively pursue opportunities to expand and diversify our reserves by acquiring additional properties that generate royalty income.
